Sustainability and Materials
We manufacture in a variety of hardwoods with the majority of the upholstery frames being constructed from European Beech & is sourced from Baltic States Government run sustainable forests.
European White Oak, West African Mahogany & Black American Walnut are commonly used for show-wood frames.
All timbers are kiln-dried to maximise the stability of the material. Frames are constructed using carefully selected timber, which is cut, shaped, glued, screwed and dowelled to ensure lasting strength.
Decorex 2007 Chairs
In association with top designers, including Nicky Haslam and Mary Fox Linton, we produced eight chairs as a centrepiece display at Decorex 2007. The chairs were subsequently auctioned and the proceeds donated to charity. Read more in the on-line feature.
